The service path treats the display as an optical, mechanical, signal and operational system. Each phase ends with named inputs, recorded settings and an acceptance artifact.

Scope boundary: a remote review can validate documents and signal design, but it cannot confirm wall flatness, room reflections, structural anchorage or safe service access. Those items require site inspection by qualified parties.

The sequence is designed so another integrator can reproduce the decision trail rather than rely on a sales summary.

Freeze the observation conditions

Measure illuminance at the display plane, record minimum viewing distance, photograph sightlines and save representative source files. Do not compare displays under different brightness or content settings.

Run a controlled sample test

At the intended distance, show small text, low-gray ramps, motion, saturated color and camera content where applicable. Record pitch, brightness, white point, refresh configuration, camera shutter and room light.

Verify interfaces and failure modes

Trace source-to-processor-to-cabinet paths. Isolate one planned fault at a time, time recovery and confirm the operator message. A diagram without a witnessed failover test is not acceptance evidence.

Commission after thermal stabilization

Allow the wall to reach representative operating temperature, then measure uniformity and repeat critical content tests. Archive readings, firmware versions, calibration files and the final cabinet map.

Train for restoration, not just operation

Operators practice source switching and health checks; service staff practice safe isolation, module replacement and calibration restoration. The handover records who owns each action and which spare is compatible.

Put a testable Barco service scope around the wall

Send the room plan, source matrix, intended duty cycle and access constraints. The response will identify deliverables, exclusions and the site tests that remain mandatory.
